Now Is Bee Season
Now is bee season! The bees are coming out in droves and trekking across the country looking for high sources of nectar and pollen and relocating into catch boxes, beehives, pool pumps, water meters and all sorts of other types of places bees like to move into.
Summer Harvest is Over
The summer harvest is over and yet there are still places across South Africa that have some nectar flows. Mangoes, Apricots and Mulberries and Honey thorn, sunflower and Kalahari vernonia are some.
Happy Bee Year 2016
We kick start a new year with gusto as we look to harness the recent rains and the harvest it will bring of honey from our colonies. Without the rain bees and farmers and plants across the country have suffered terribly!
