Removing an established honeybee colony requires more than owning protective clothing and a bee vacuum. Every site presents different access, safety, structural and colony-management challenges.
The Bee Ware Commercial Bee Removal Course introduces a structured approach to bee removals, including bee behaviour, equipment, planning, live-hive work, removal scenarios and the commercial considerations involved in offering this service.
The course forms Tier 1 of the Bee Ware Commercial Bee Remover training pathway.

PCIPC CPD points
The Pest Control Industries Professional Council lists Bee Ware’s Practical Bee Removal Operator training for 8 CPD points.
Participants are responsible for complying with any applicable PCIPC attendance, evidence and submission requirements.
The separate Practical Bee Removal In-Field Training is listed for 20 CPD points and is not included in this Tier 1 booking.

After completing Tier 1, learners may enquire about Bee Ware’s separate Tier 2 programme.
Tier 2 provides up to 20 hours of supervised in-field shadowing with a bee-removal operator. Availability, scheduling and pricing are handled separately and are not included in this product.

Important safety information
Bee removals involve live stinging insects and may include structural, electrical, access, confined-space or working-at-height hazards.
Training can improve knowledge and preparation, but it cannot eliminate these risks. This course does not replace site-specific risk assessments, suitable insurance, working-at-height training, professional trade qualifications, licences or registrations that may be legally required for particular work.
Participants must follow the trainer’s safety instructions during every practical activity.

Is this a beginner beekeeping course?
No. This course concentrates on bee-removal work. Basic bee-handling experience is useful. Completely new beekeepers should contact Bee Ware before booking for course-sequence advice.
How much does the course cost?
The Tier 1 Commercial Bee Removal Course costs R3,750 per person.
Where is the course held?

Is protective clothing included?
Protective clothing is not included in the course price. Bring suitable PPE or arrange PPE hire from Bee Ware for R100 per person.

PCIPC lists the Practical Bee Removal Operator course for 8 CPD points. Any required attendance evidence or CPD submission remains subject to PCIPC requirements.
Is Tier 2 included?
No. Tier 2 is separate supervised in-field shadow training and must be booked independently.
Will the course qualify me for every type of bee removal?
No. Sites and hazards vary considerably. Further experience, supervised fieldwork and additional safety or trade qualifications may be required.
